It’s hot and muggy in the house right now. I feel like I’m sitting in a sauna. We’ve got the windows open upstairs and fans blowing. It’s actually cooler outside. It’s actually been pretty hot the last couple of days. Eventually we’ll install our deluxe air conditioner that we have sitting out in the garage. Right now there isn’t any point since the backside of our house is being rebuilt. It’s pretty stressful living in a construction zone. Especially when the construction is going over time and over budget. We’ve had to open more lines of credit to make sure we have enough money to finish the current construction. It’s not like we can just stop. Rainy season is coming soon and we need to finish the outside of the house. No going back. Our life could be a reality TV show…
Speaking about money and TV shows, the expenses for my acting “career” keep rolling in. There’s the dues for being in the Players Directory and EWP talent directory, potential classes, the audition technique book used by the studio, putting my “moving headshot” on LA Casting, etc, etc, etc. Plus I haven’t been paid for that Asiana Visa photo shoot I did.
I also was notified through the ACTS mailing list that the ABC Talent Showcase is approaching. I’ve auditioned for the showcase twice over the years but never made the cut. Now that I have training I know that I have a better shot!
